DEATH OF THE AMERICAN DREAM
Limited Edition of 40
Giclee on Archival Paper (64.5X91cm)
$500 USD
Influenced by ‘The Death of Marat’ (1793) by Jacques-Louis David, ‘Death of the American Dream’ reflects the iconic Uncle Sam as a personification of the U.S. and the moral good it once stood for. Today, this beacon of freedom and democracy declines into chaos. The once admired principles of the U.S. Constitution is in mere tatters and the American working class lags hopelessly behind.
Booda Brand interprets a sign of the times.
STATUE OF BIGOTRY
Limited Edition of 45
Giclee on Archival Paper (63X93cm)
$475 USD
I am often asked, as an artist, what motivates my art? Where do I get my ideas and most often do I ever run out of ideas?
It's an unequivocal NEVER. Artists are barometers of the world around them. The art itself is an interpretation of that time.
Italian Renaissance art represented the pinnacle of Italian society at that time. The art attested to the enlightenment of all facets of everyday life during that era. Without the marvellous artworks, how would we be able to fully experience the spirit of the renaissance.
Fast forward to Picasso's Guernica, or choose from the works of Ai Wei Wei and Banksy and you'll see artists who have taken up the mantle to expound on their times.
For Booda Brand it's a privilege to bring to you an image to capture this extraordinary time in our history. Art is truth.
For the collector it is an opportunity to express your convictions and own a piece of history.

Limited Edition of 40
Giclee on Archival Paper (93X63cm)

GUNZ & GOD
Limited Edition of 40
Giclee on Archival Paper (99.5X60cm)
$525 USD
A continuing series that examines the absurdities of today's socio-political world. Gunz and God merely asks profoundly if a loving and caring God had given man the right to bear arms as outlined in the USA's 2nd Amendment. The imagery depicts the very instance when God touches the hand of Adam in Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel mural, thus giving him life. Instead we have God handing Adam a bullet to go forth and propagate violence and killing. In the background you have the relentless military industrial complex. Cherubs with kevlar vests symbolizing innocent lost souls as well as the dove of hope and peace.
